500 Cabinets
From a closed hutch to a waterfall chest of drawers, these 500 outstanding contemporary cabinets showcase the art and craft of fine furniture making. The newly made works celebrate shape, joinery, detailing, color, or the subtle combination of all those qualities. Each piece testifies to the design and technical skills of its creator and has that most precious element of all: imagination. Juried by John Grew Sheridan, this is the third furniture making title in Lark's esteemed 500 series, following 500 Chairs and 500 Tables, juried by Craig Nutt and Andrew Glasgow, respectively.

“A cool new book … Most of the cabinets are contemporary, and almost all of them are fun to look at. All the staff members here have been paging through these books since they arrived. I really like these books because you get to see a wide range of work, and it's usually beautifully presented.” – Christopher Schwarz, editor of Popular Woodworking Magazine
“For another huge helping of inspiration, I totally enjoy perusing 500 Cabinets: A Showcase of Design & Craftsmanship. I remember spending hours looking through Fine Woodworking's design books when I was younger, and today we have the 500 Series of books – the series includes books on tables and chairs. While the pieces in this book are mainly contemporary, this is one of those books that I look to for ideas or simply to get my creative juices flowing.” – Glen D. Huey, senior editor, Popular Woodworking Magazine
"If you are looking for ideas for a project, an excellent source is Lark Books' 500 Series. While this series covers many craft media, woodworkers will find the most inspiration from 500 Cabinets, 500 Tables, 500 Chairs, 400 Wood Boxes, and 500 Wood Bowls. Even if you are not looking for ideas, there is much in these books to appreciate and enjoy. You will probably do lots of nodding, plenty of eye widening, some jaw dropping, and, naturally, some wincing. Each book delivers a huge quantity of outstanding work." – Rob Porcaro, Heartwood: Inside the Woodshop
