About the Author

Jeffrey Mayer is curator of the Sue Ann Genet Costume Collection and Associate Professor of Fashion, Fashion History and Textiles at Syracuse University, New York.

Basia Szkutnicka works as a fashion design consultant, fashion course director and educator. She currently runs a department at the London College of Fashion, working with international students.
