Anton Corbijn: Inwards and Onwards

Anton Corbijn’s great work of portrait photography is being celebrated this summer in Amsterdam in an exhibition of new portraits taken during the past eight years. Besides his fascination with artists from the music world, Anton Corbijn has for a long time shown an interest in visual artists and this catalogue shows some of his forays into this world with images of Lucian Freud, Damien Hirst, Gerhard Richter, Ed Ruscha, Anselm Kiefer, Hilla and Bernd Becher, Peter Doig, as well as Patti Smith, Bruce Springsteen, Johnny Cash, Alexander McQueen, Kate Moss, Tom Waits, Mick Jagger, and many more.
