Ian McEwan
Ian McEwan (1948) sa v súčasnosti sa radí medzi najuznávanejších svetových spisovateľov. Narodil sa v Alderhorste v Anglicku. Na Sussexskej univerzite vyštudoval anglickú literatúru a neskôr študoval na University of East Anglia. Napísal dve zbierky poviedok Prvá láska a posledné pomazanie (First Love, Last Rites, 1975), Medzi plachtami (In Between the Sheets, 1978), štrnásť románov, dve knihy pre deti, dve divadelné hry a iné. Medzi jeho najznámejšie diela patria prózy Betónová záhrada (The Cement Garden, 1978), Čierne psy (Black Dogs, 1992), Amsterdam (1998) a Pokánie (Atonement, 2001). Je nositeľom viacerých prestížnych literárnych ocenení, za román Amsterdam získal Bookerovu cenu. Vo Vydavateľstve SLOVART vyšiel jeho román Na pláži (On Chesil Beach, 2007). Podľa viacerých McEwanových románov boli nakrútené úspešné filmy.
